The Next Stop members enjoyed many activities this week, but none more than this birthday party! Of course, Hank Aaron had to be introduced to some members–but many at least knew he was a baseball player. Too bad Hammerin Hank couldn’t be a part of our celebration, as his accomplishments were discussed and baseball became the day’s theme.
Who doesn’t enjoy a “ball park hot dog”? even it we weren’t at the ball park! As usual, members worked together to prepare their own dogs with all the trimmings.
Ms. Lynnette, one of our regular volunteers from Special Olympics, led us in a great baseball game. Everyone hit the ball well–with a few home runs!
We ended the day with a Family Fued game with all categories being baseball related. Now we are all excited to plan a trip to the new Gwinnett Braves stadium and see our new AAA team play!
