It may be that the volunteers and leaders got more excited about this activity than our members, but it turned out to be lots of fun. In an effort to help members have a trick to play on their family, they made cupcakes that were really meatloaf and were iced with spring colors of mashed potatoes. Wouldn’t it be fun to see the face of someone biting into a meatloaf, expecting a cupcake! As it turned out, most people knew something was up because the cupcakes were very HEAVY. Oh well…..we did laugh a lot just thinking about it!
A special thank you to adaptive PE teachers Lynnette and Glen for visiting and bringing a fun game of “matching”. Members had to lift the cones and see what color egg was there–and then match it to another cone’s egg. This tested everyone’s memory, but also was a game of teamwork as everyone helped each other. It was a blast!
